Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association (PANPA) awards Newspaper of the Year The Age has been voted best newspaper in its class in the Pacific region, winning the coveted Newspaper of the Year award at the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers’ Association awards. Competing against 15 of the region’s best daily newspapers with circulation over 50,000, with entries from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong, the judges said: “Undoubtedly one of the best broadsheets. An exceptional product with the readership growth to prove it. Hard to fault the professionalism in all aspects of the publication. The Age excelled in content, design, production and campaign journalism. While all other categories were high, it was these four areas that took The Age’s entry to the lead.” August 2007 |

I want to thank our terrific team of journalists, marketing people, advertising, and the production team.” In the past year The Age has won 53 awards for editorial excellence.
